Role Description As an NDIS Occupational Therapist with Awareness Services, you will work for yourself from home in a remote, contract role, providing online therapy and support to NDIS participants. Day-to-day activities include conducting functional assessments, developing individualized intervention plans, and delivering telehealth sessions that promote independence and participation in daily activities. You will collaborate with clients, families, carers, and support coordinators to set achievable goals and implement evidence-based strategies.

The role also involves documenting progress, preparing reports for NDIS plans and reviews, and maintaining professional records in line with regulatory and ethical standards.



You will manage your own schedule and caseload, ensuring timely communication and responsive support for clients within a flexible, home-based work environment.

Qualifications

- Registered Occupational Therapist (AHPRA registration) with experience working with NDIS participants or in disability/community settings.
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and delivering client-centered, evidence-based OT services via telehealth or online platforms.
- Ability to work independently from home, manage a self-directed caseload, and maintain professional boundaries and ethical practice.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence with digital tools and electronic record-keeping, including secure online platforms for appointments, documentation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of NDIS processes, functional capacity assessments, and goal-based reporting is highly regarded.
- Commitment to holistic care, cultural safety, and non-discriminatory practice, with a focus on empowerment and inclusion.
- Relevant skilled indemnity insurance and eligibility to work as an independent contractor in a home-based setting.
