We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a high-performing technology team in Canberra, working across a complex enterprise network environment.

This is a hands-on role focused on the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing support of network infrastructure, with strong experience across Fortinet firewalls and F5 being essential.

What you'll be doing

- Design, configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and services
- Provide hands-on administration and support across Fortinet firewalls and F5 technologies
- Monitor network performance, capacity and availability, identifying and resolving issues before they impact services
- Troubleshoot complex network faults and provide timely resolution to incidents and outages
- Work across Layer 2 networking, including VLANs, trunks and Spanning Tree
- Support network integration across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments
- Implement network changes, upgrades and improvements while maintaining security and resilience
- Assist with network security, hardening, patching and configuration standards
- Work with internal teams,



technology partners and vendors to resolve technical issues and deliver network projects
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, procedures and configuration records
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of network architecture, standards and operational processes

What we're looking for
- Strong senior-level Network Engineering experience
- Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet
- Proven hands-on experience with F5 / BIG-IP
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking and troubleshooting
- Experience with VLANs, Trunks and Spanning Tree
- Experience working with cloud or hybrid network environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities

Requirements
- Active NV1 security clearance
- Canberra based, with hybrid working arrangements potentially available
- Available for a long-term contract

Contract: ASAP - 30 June 2028, with potential 12-month extension
