Role Description The NSW Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Simotas Foods’ Seven Hills, NSW facility. This role oversees day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, transport scheduling, and delivery performance across the New South Wales region. The NSW Operations Manager leads and supports operational teams, ensuring safe work practices, compliance with company policies, and efficient use of resources.





Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, driving continuous improvement in processes, coordinating with sales, customer service, and procurement teams, and resolving operational issues to maintain high service standards. The role also involves managing roster planning, supervising equipment and maintenance needs, and contributing to strategic operational planning to support business growth.

Qualifications

- Strong operations and logistics management skills, including warehouse supervision, inventory control, and distribution planning.
- Experience leading teams, with capabilities in people management, coaching, performance monitoring, and fostering a safety-first culture.
- Proficiency in using ERP/WMS or inventory systems, basic data analysis, and reporting to track KPIs and drive process improvements.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, solve problems pragmatically, and make sound, data-informed decisions.
- Background in foodservice, FMCG, or related distribution environments is highly regarded.
- Relevant qualifications in supply chain, logistics, business management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and compliance standards within warehousing and transport operations.
