About This Role

Our operations at Maules Creek Mine have an opening for an experienced Open Cut Examiner (OCE) to provide safety leadership and compliance in all operational areas.

What You’ll Do

- Lead continuous improvement activities to increase mining and plant efficiency
- Monitor production and coal quality targets and assist with production planning
- Conduct statutory inspections of an open cut operation
- Supervise and direct mining crews including provision of pre-shift information and shift planning
- Contribute to the development of a positive and team-oriented organisational culture

What You’ll Bring The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of mining legislation, safety and environmental systems as well as open cut mining techniques. Additional requirements are:

- OCE Certificate (Essential)




- Experience as a supervisor and multi-skilled operator in the mining industry
- Live local to the Gunnedah area or willing to relocate (financial assistance provided or access to temporary accommodation)
- Ability to work 12.5hr day/night shifts on an even-time shift pattern
