Operations Coordinator The RFDS Western Operations Coordination Centre is at the heart of our aeromedical service, ensuring patients receive timely access to critical healthcare and transport across Western Australia. Based at Jandakot Airport, our Operations Coordinators work around the clock alongside aviation and clinical teams to coordinate, solve complex logistical challenges and support communities in some of the state's most remote locations.
About the Role
- Coordinate and manage aeromedical flight taskings, patient transfers and operational resources to support emergency and routine medical missions across Western Australia.
- Collaborate with pilots, doctors, nurses and external agencies to assess operational requirements, identify constraints and deliver effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Monitor crew and aircraft availability, maintain ongoing communication with operational teams and respond proactively to changing priorities and time-critical situations.
- This is a full-time shift-based position working 12-hour shifts, providing both day and night shift coverage. You will be required to work a rotating roster comprising both day and night shifts.
About You
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
- Highly organised with excellent time management, prioritisation skills and a keen attention to detail.
- A confident decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- A proactive problem solver who enjoys thinking critically, finding solutions and remaining calm under pressure.
- Experience working in an operational, logistics or emergency services environment will be highly regarded.
