Role Description This is a full-time or part time, on-site Optometrist role based in South Australia, Australia. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, assess visual function, and diagnose and manage a range of ocular conditions. The role involves using the latest diagnostic technologies, maintaining accurate clinical records, and collaborating with the practice team to ensure a high standard of patient care.

The Optometrist will also support outreach services to surrounding regions, contributing to community eye health initiatives and patient education.

Qualifications

- Professional optometry qualifications,



with current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant Australian optometry board.
- Clinical expertise in comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis and management of eye diseases, and prescribing single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses.
- Comfort using modern diagnostic equipment and dry eye technologies, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative practice environment and contribute to outreach services in surrounding regions.
- Attention to detail in clinical documentation and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in optometry practice.
- Experience in an independent optometry setting is beneficial; familiarity with frame selection and optical dispensing is an advantage.
- Willingness to live and work in South Australia and engage with the local community.
