Paire is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Development Intern for a paid, three-month internship, working two days a week at Paire HQ in South Melbourne.
Working closely with our Design Lead, you’ll help develop on-brand packaging from initial concepts and material research through to specification packs, samples and print-ready artwork.

What You’ll Do
- Develop packaging concepts and artwork with our Design Lead
- Create packaging design files and apply artwork to approved dielines
- Produce packaging specification packs covering dimensions, materials, colours, finishes and construction
- Prepare accurate print-ready artwork in line with supplier requirements
- Create mock-ups and prototypes for review
- Review samples and proofs, then make required revisions
- Adapt packaging across products, colours, sizes and SKUs while maintaining brand consistency
Projects may include product boxes, mailers, swing tags, care labels, barcode stickers, inserts and other retail or e-commerce packaging.
About You
- Currently studying or recently graduated in packaging, graphic, product, communication or industrial design
- Confident using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong eye for typography, layout, colour and materials
- Interested in dielines, print production and packaging development
- Organised, detail-oriented and receptive to feedback
- Able to work independently and collaborate closely with a small team
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, with packaging projects highly regarded
Previous professional packaging experience is not required. We care most about your design thinking, attention to detail, willingness to learn and the quality of your portfolio.
