Assess damage to vehicle bodies and panels and determine repair methods. Remove, repair, replace and refit damaged body panels, including doors, guards, bonnets and boot lids. Straighten and align vehicle chassis and body panels using hydraulic and pulling equipment, including Car-O-Liner measuring and pulling systems. Weld, bond and rivet replacement panels using MIG/MAG welding and approved bonding techniques. Fill, sand and prepare repaired surfaces for painting Interpret repair estimates and manufacturer repair procedures. Work safely with hand and power tools, workshop equipment and safety systems. Liaise with the workshop manager and painters to ensure repair quality and turnaround targets are met.
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
