Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer in Palliative Care to join a growing regional service at an important stage of its development. Supporting more than 150+ patients and families, the role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, patient-centred care across inpatient, community and hospice settings while contributing to the development of a more connected regional model. With the service undergoing significant growth and revitalisation, you’ll have genuine scope to influence how specialist palliative care is delivered and help shape its future.

Facility

Join an experienced and collaborative multidisciplinary team connecting hospital, community and hospice care across the region. The service provides specialist support for complex symptom management and end-of-life care, with opportunities to work across multiple settings and build strong regional partnerships. The role is supported by a comprehensive package, including remuneration of up to $560+ per annum*, 12.75% superannuation, professional development leave and allowance, salary packaging, paid parental leave, accommodation and relocation assistance, motor vehicle and on-call allowances, and professional indemnity cover.

Requirements

· Specialist registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RACP (FRACP Palliative Care Medicine)

· Trainees in the RACP Palliative Medicine program receiving fellowship 2026/ early 2027.

· International Medical Graduates with a confirmed RACP interview date

· International Medical graduates from all countries assessed by RACP as substantially comparable

· UK CCT and New Zealand trained specialists

· Sri Lankan Palliative Care Consultants with Australian or UK experience
