About You
You’re an experienced Payroll Officer with robust end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume environment. You’re confident managing everything from onboarding, terminations and leave through to payroll processing, employee enquiries and day-to-day problem-solving. You understand the complexities of working across multiple awards and EBAs and have a strong grasp of payroll legislation, entitlements and compliance. Highly organised and detail-focused, you can juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines and keep accuracy front and centre.
You’re also a positive and collaborative team member who takes ownership and handles confidential information with discretion. Experience in AP and/or AR would be an advantage, as you’ll provide support across the wider finance function and enjoy a role with plenty of variety.
About the Role
This is a newly available opportunity following an internal promotion, with the current Payroll Officer moving into a newly created Project Accounting role as the business continues to grow and evolve. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end weekly payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. From onboarding and terminations to leave, entitlements, payroll queries and compliance,
you’ll play a key role in keeping payroll running smoothly across multiple awards and EBAs.
Beyond payroll, you’ll also work closely with the finance team, providing support across AP, AR, reconciliations, payments and other finance activities as needed. It’s a hands-on, varied role with plenty of scope to get involved and become an important part of a supportive finance team.
