Position Profile: As a Patient Support Assistant, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care by providing ward-based cleaning, food services and patient support activities within a hospital environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help create a clean, safe and comfortable environment that supports positive patient outcomes and experiences.

The role involves a diverse range of duties including maintaining ward and patient areas, supporting meal service and hydration rounds, assisting with patient transfers and movements under supervision, managing linen and ward supplies, and responding to the day-to-day needs of the ward. You will work closely with nursing, clinical and support services staff to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with infection prevention, safety and quality standards.

You will be reliable, flexible and committed to patient-centred care, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. You will demonstrate a solid commitment to teamwork, safety and service excellence while supporting the delivery of high-quality care and services.
