Join the Pharmacy team at Nepean Hospital and play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to contribute to the smooth delivery of pharmaceutical services within a busy hospital environment.

You will work in this role under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy,



and will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards and departments. You will also assist in the preparation of manufactured sterile and non-sterile products, support the dispensing of prescriptions, and undertake associated clerical duties.

What you will bring to the role

1. Successfully completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and community Pharmacy (e.g. Charles Sturt University) or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent or successfully completed a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.
2. Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and possess valuable time management skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to integrate well with the other staff working as part of the team.
4. Demonstrated good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
5. Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
6. Previous Australian Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
