As a Principal Claims Coach, you'll provide expert knowledge across a diverse portfolio of life, disability and income protection claims. You'll play a key role in supporting complex claim assessments, uplifting claims capability across the team and providing coaching, mentoring and technical expertise to help deliver exceptional member outcomes.

You'll work closely with Claims Managers, leadership teams and key stakeholders to identify capability gaps, develop meaningful training solutions and strengthen claims management practices. This is an exciting opportunity to influence quality decision making, improve processes and contribute to the continued success of ART Life Operations.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

- Provide expert advice and guidance on complex life, disability and income protection claims.
- Support proactive claims management strategies that optimise member and organisational outcomes.
- Coach, mentor and develop claims professionals to strengthen technical capability.
- Develop targeted coaching and development plans aligned to capability frameworks and performance objectives.




- Facilitate training sessions and capability uplift initiatives across the claims function.
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to identify training needs and implement effective solutions.
- Provide reporting and insights on claims trends, service levels and regulatory requirements.
- Support consistent decision making on complex and high value insurance claims.
- Contribute to quality frameworks, process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Assist with escalated and highly sensitive claims matters while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards.

Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have demonstrated experience managing complex claims within a holistic claims management environment.
- Your experience includes working with rehabilitation, early intervention, community or related health services.
- You'll bring a proven track record of coaching, mentoring and developing claims professionals.
- You're confident providing technical guidance and supporting complex claims decisions.
- You have strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Your knowledge of life and disability insurance claims practices will be highly regarded.
- You'll hold tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.




- You're passionate about delivering positive member outcomes while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
