About the role

This is a super exciting time to kick-start your mining career, with four trainee Process Technician positions available!

This trainee position is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door of the mining industry and build a rewarding career. You’ll provide assistance to our Process Technicians in the day-to-day operation of the mill, while receiving hands-on training, development and upskilling across all areas of the operation.

As you build your skills, knowledge and experience, you’ll work towards becoming a Process Technician, opening the door to a rewarding and long-term career in mining.

This is a full-time residential position based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, working an 8/6 dayshift-only roster. Please note, you must currently reside in Kalgoorlie or be willing to relocate to be considered for this position.

Key responsibilities

- Assist processing team on a daily basis with all activities required.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping through conducting clean-up duties across the mill as required to ensure plant equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Assist with conducting daily maintenance and operational checks.
- Conduct water quality tests necessary to operate and maintain water treatment processes and systems.
- Assist in the isolation of equipment for maintenance.
- Assist with collecting and recording routine readings and analyse samples within the plant for Quality Assurance Quality Control (QAQC) purposes.
- Active participation in shift pre-starts and equipment handovers,



ensuring all reporting requirements and instructions have been complied with and the oncoming shift is set up for an effective shift.
- Ability to fill in as a Process Operator on day shift when the crew are short for staff in a short-term capacity.

- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Western Australian unencumbered “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
- Mechanically minded with ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
