Role Description The Procurement Specialist / Vendor Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring efficient, cost-effective purchasing processes. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating vendors, managing procurement requests, and coordinating the end-to-end purchasing cycle in alignment with organizational needs and budget guidelines.

The role involves negotiating and maintaining contracts, monitoring vendor performance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and service-level expectations.

The Procurement

Specialist / Vendor Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze spending data, and recommend improvements to procurement strategies and vendor management practices.

Qualifications

- Robust Procurement and vendor management skills, including experience with sourcing, purchasing processes, and supplier evaluation.




- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management to secure favorable terms, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess vendor performance, analyze cost and quality data, and support data-driven decisions.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, negotiating with vendors, and documenting agreements clearly.
- Experience working in a consulting, HR, or professional services environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with basic procurement software or ERP tools and proficiency in standard office applications.
- Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
