Pypline is growing its AI-enabled products and client solutions and is looking for an ambitious, product minded software engineer to help bring them to life.

This is an immediate opportunity to work across 2-3 AI-related products, with strong potential for ongoing and permanent opportunities as our product and client pipeline continues to grow. For the right candidate, our intention is to build a sustained working relationship, with increasing ownership and the opportunity to help shape Pypline’s engineering capability.

You will work closely with Pypline’s strategy team, as well as specialist AI and infrastructure partners, to turn emerging ideas and technical outputs into polished, practical software.

The role will involve:

- translating product and client needs into clear technical requirements;
- designing pragmatic solution architecture and user flows;
- building responsive front-end experiences using modern web technologies;
- developing integration logic for APIs, structured data and external AI services;
- presenting complex analytical outputs through clear dashboards and interfaces;
- rapidly prototyping, testing and iterating AI-enabled products;
- contributing to demonstrations, documentation and implementation; and
- helping establish reusable components and sound engineering practices as Pypline grows.

About you We are open to strong mid-level engineers. You will ideally:

- have experience in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML or CSS
- working knowledge of back end development e.g Python, Node.js or .NET ;
- bring strong product judgement, not just coding capability;
- be able to work independently and make pragmatic technical decisions;




- enjoy taking products from an early concept to a working solution;
- be comfortable working with APIs, structured data and external technology providers;
- understand modern cloud-development, testing and security practices; and
- be interested in building an ongoing relationship with Pypline across multiple products and engagements.
- be comfortable operating in a start-up environment where priorities evolve and roles are flexible;

Experience developing AI-enabled or data-intensive tools is highly regarded. Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Claude, ChatGPT or comparable technologies would be beneficial, but experience delivering usable software products is more key than expertise in any particular platform. Canberra-based candidates are preferred, and we are also open to strong candidates based in Sydney. Flexible and remote working arrangements are available, although occasional in-person collaboration may be required.

An Australian Government security clearance is an advantage but is not essential .
