GRIFFIN COAL

Griffin Coal is a long established Western Australian coal producer supporting domestic power generation and key industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our Production teams.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for providing production teams and production processes with leadership, coordination and the standards required so production outcomes are achieved in a safe and environmentally responsible manager in accordance with business plans and statutory limits.

You will also

- Manage a safe, engaged and high‑performance workforce;
- Ensure the Production department effectively plans, allocates and monitors resources to achieve operational priorities;
- Manage and promote crew safety, environmental performance and manage corrective actions as necessary;
- Co-ordinate any accident and incident investigations that may occur;
- Monitor mining activities as per the mining plan and ensure all performance of Production crews are productive;




- Provide the necessary coaching to Production supervisors so they can be aware of standards, targets, priorities and expectations;
- Monitor the crew skill base and implement necessary training and resourcing actions where appropriate and
- Utilise resources effectively to support budget management and ensure all cost targets are achieved;

EXPERIENCE The preferred candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience working within an open cut black coal mining environment;
- Extensive supervisory or managerial experience;
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline;
- SSE/QM experience and an unrestricted QM ticket and
- Strong understanding of WHS (Mines) legislative and statutory requirements.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
