Role Description A full-time position, the Project Engineer will plan, coordinate, and oversee heavy lift, specialist transport, and alternative lifting projects from concept through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations and technical documentation, developing project plans and schedules, and supporting the design of lifting methodologies and equipment configurations, including RAMS.
The role involves collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients, conducting site visits and ensuring projects comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedures. You will also monitor project progress,
address technical issues, contribute to continuous improvement, and support cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills, with the ability to develop and review technical designs, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to coordinate tasks, resources, schedules, and budgets across multiple projects. If you have specific software experience, please state your preferred package.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including explicit written and verbal communication and effective collaboration with clients, site teams, and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related field) and relevant experience in heavy lifting, construction, transport, or industrial projects.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, understanding of safety and risk management, and proficiency with common engineering and project management software tools.
- Experience with lifting equipment, cranes, rigging, and industry standards, as well as exposure to Australian regulations and codes, will be highly beneficial.
