We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Project Manager to join us, and become an integral part of the Sydney Projects team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage projects from start to finish, whilst maintaining and building relationships with the team, the Clients, and the Subcontractors. You will manage the Clients, Design programme, Construction programme, the installing Techs and Subcontracts, procurement and site productivity in the most cost-effective way, all whilst maintaining a focused safety culture that strives for a zero harm result.
Position responsibilities:
- Check that equipment supplier and sub-contractor quotes comply with the specification, contract and quality requirements.
- Negotiate with equipment Suppliers, Subcontractors and Consultant to achieve the specification, contract and quality requirements.
- Prepare letters of intent/place orders for all equipment and Subcontractors.
- Attend sites on a regular basis including site meetings, and ensure sites labour is adequate and site diaries are being completed correctly.
- Ensure the project is running to budget and use all methods within guidelines to maximise Company profits.
- Document claims for delay and extension of time.
- Input variations (regardless of status) as they occur and before work the starts.
- Input monthly progress claims and variations to the client.
- Approve supplier and sub-contractor invoices.
- Compile operating and maintenance manuals.
Specific Workplace, Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to WHS & E legislation and complete weekly onsite safety checks/paperwork.
- Ensure risk management activities are undertaken across all service deliverables.
- Take reasonable care to prevent injuries to self and others
General:
- Ensure all activities within the business comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are preferred in Trade, Mechanical, Building Services or Engineering.
Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- High level of “Services” technical expertise. Fire experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Sound interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to varying roles within a team environment.
