About the Role

MOITS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across Sydney and Wollongong.

This is a hands-on role suited to a Project Manager who is confident managing projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion, while working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders.

The role will be based 2 days per week in Sydney and 3 days per week in Wollongong, providing the opportunity to work across a range of projects and environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage projects from initial planning through to completion and handover
- Take ownership of project programmes, budgets, costs and commercial outcomes
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved
- Monitor project performance, productivity, quality and safety
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Review scopes, drawings, contracts and project documentation
- Identify and manage project risks, variations and potential delays
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, Estimators and senior management




- Provide regular project reporting and updates to management
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction, civil, demolition, excavation, remediation or infrastructure.

You will ideally have

- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or civil industry
- Experience managing projects from commencement through to completion
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, programmes and subcontractors
- Solid commercial and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead site teams and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of WHS, environmental and quality requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline are desirable
