Project Manager - Melbourne, VIC

Steel Builder is an Australian structural steel supplier delivering end to end solutions across Australia. We manage the full value chain, including drafting, offshore manufacturing, logistics, and installation, and we expect our Project Managers to own outcomes.

This role is responsible for full project lifecycle delivery, managing projects across VIC and NSW from pre award to handover. You will control Programme cost, quality, safety, subcontractors, progress claims, payments, and client outcomes. This is not a coordination role. Ownership and execution are key.

Key Responsibilities

- End to end delivery of structural steel projects
- Programme, budget, margin, progress claims, and cashflow management
- Coordination of drafting, offshore manufacturing, logistics, and installation
- Client and account management, including commercial negotiations
- Management of Site Managers, Project Coordinators, and subcontractors
- Safety, quality, compliance, and risk management
- Clear reporting and stakeholder communication
- Potential travel across VIC and NSW





You will be expected to identify issues early, and present solutions, not just problems.

About You

- Proven Project Manager experience in structural steel, construction, or engineering
- Robust commercial and delivery focus
- Confident managing offshore suppliers and site teams
- Comfortable operating autonomously, without micromanagement
- Outcome driven, organised, and accountable
