Purchasing Manager | 3-Month Contract | Immediate Start The Company A growing and well-established organisation with a diverse portfolio of consumer products is strengthening its procurement function as the business continues to evolve. With a cooperative, commercially focused culture, the organisation works across product, supply chain, commercial and operational teams to deliver quality products to market. The purchasing team plays an important role in managing supplier relationships, product costs and commercial outcomes, with genuine opportunity to influence the wider supply chain and product portfolio.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the business on an initial 3-month contract, with an immediate start required. Taking ownership of a defined portfolio of products and suppliers, you will be responsible for sourcing strategy, supplier selection and relationship management, commercial negotiations and contract management. You will work closely with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Product Development, Marketing, Commercial, Quality and Regulatory, while also supporting new product development and bringing products to market.

The role will have a strong focus on total cost, supplier performance, commercial terms, risk management and identifying opportunities to improve value across the portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional who can step into a business quickly, take ownership and deliver from day one.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have solid experience across purchasing,



procurement or category management, ideally within FMCG, retail, consumer products or another fast-paced commercial environment. You will have a strong understanding of sourcing strategy, supplier management, commercial negotiation and contract management, with the confidence to work across multiple stakeholders and projects.

Experience managing product costs, supplier performance and new product development will be highly regarded. Given the immediate nature of the requirement, you will be available to start immediately or at very short notice, with the ability to quickly understand a category, build relationships and make an impact. Whether you are an established Purchasing Manager or an experienced Procurement Specialist ready to take on greater ownership, this contract offers the opportunity to make a meaningful commercial impact from day one.
