Role Description This part time remote role as a QA Tester / Automation Engineer at Secretaría de Producción y Empleo focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions that support production and employment initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, executing, and documenting manual and automated test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and verifying fixes.

The role involves collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and improve overall software quality. The QA professional will also contribute to test planning, maintain test environments and automation scripts, and participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong test execution and manual testing skills, including the ability to follow structured test plans and accurately document outcomes.
- Experience in quality assurance practices,



with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management.
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining clear, comprehensive test cases aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Well-developed analytical skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, troubleshoot issues, and suggest process improvements.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar), with the ability to create and maintain automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jira, or similar) and basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Relevant education or training in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
