Reconciliation Officer, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney CBD + hybrid working options available

- Opportunity to work in the Corporate Finance team supporting Service NSW Finance and Business Operations Team.
- Ongoing full-time role located in Sydney CBD
- SNSW Clerk Grade 5/6, Salary ($93,490 - $106,841+), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting business and financial operations across the Division, including, banking reconciliations and educating and supporting stakeholders to develop financial capability and improve accountability in financial business decision-making. You will be adept at completing time dependent reconciliations within scheduled time constraints, while challenged by a large, complex agency with high levels of accountability and transparency required.

Some of your key tasks will include:

- Prepare and complete daily and monthly reconciliations bank accounts.
- Reconcile payments against system totals, in order to identify and report on any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records within internal registers and SAP.
- Assist with month end close, including reconciliations,



journals and supporting schedules.
- Investigate banking issues and resolve or report anomalies to ensure system issues are identified and all finances are accounted for.
- Contribute to process improvement strategies to address identified inefficiencies and ensure required processes are established to meet changing needs

About you The successful applicant is a well-respected professional with proven experience in a similar setting. You can demonstrate systems and associated accounting experiencing, with specialisation in reconciliation, reporting, and their financial impact on business activities. Adept at working in a high-volume environment, you also possess stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and advise business leaders and stakeholders. Above all, you will be highly organised and thrive on process improvement both within the team and across the department. Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $93,490 base plus superannuation
