Tailored Workforce Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Recruitment Consultant to join its Melbourne team. The position will manage end-to-end recruitment activities, with a focus on healthcare and allied health recruitment, as well as recruitment across the transport and airline industries, while supporting the growth and quality of Tailored Workforce’s recruitment services.

About the role The Recruitment Consultant will work with employers, hiring managers and job seekers to identify recruitment needs, attract and assess applicants, recommend suitable candidates and support appointments across healthcare, allied health, transport and airline industries. The position requires sound judgement, strong communication, organised case management and the ability to build trusted professional relationships. This is a direct employment position with Tailored Workforce Pty Ltd.

The Recruitment

Consultant will be employed, managed and supervised by Tailored Workforce Pty Ltd as part of its own recruitment business operations.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Receive, clarify and record vacancy information from employers and hiring managers, including position duties, selection criteria, remuneration, employment conditions and commencement requirements.
- Prepare and arrange advertising of job vacancies through appropriate digital, professional and referral channels.
- Source and engage candidates through job boards, databases, professional networks, referrals, social media and targeted search activities.
- Interview, screen and assess applicants to determine their job requirements, experience, capabilities and suitability for particular vacancies.
- Coordinate skills testing, reference checks, background checks and other pre-employment requirements where appropriate.




- Prepare evidence-based candidate shortlists and recommendations and assist employers and hiring managers to select suitable staff.
- Provide employers and job seekers with accurate information about current vacancies, position requirements, remuneration and employment conditions.
- Facilitate discussions and negotiations about proposed terms and conditions of employment within approved parameters.
- Manage candidate communication and the recruitment process from initial contact through to offer, placement and commencement.
- Maintain accurate vacancy, applicant, recruitment and placement records in the applicant tracking system and associated databases.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction steps and provide successful candidates with relevant commencement information.
- Undertake talent mapping and labour market research, monitor candidate availability and provide recruitment insights to management.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with employers, job providers, candidates and relevant industry networks across healthcare, allied health, transport and airline industries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes, candidate experience, compliance and service quality.

Essential qualifications and experience

- A relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification in human resource management, business, management, organisational behavior or a closely related discipline, or at least five years of relevant recruitment experience in lieu of the formal qualification.
- Demonstrated experience across recruitment, talent acquisition, executive search or candidate sourcing,



including interviewing and applicant assessment.
- Experience managing vacancies, candidate pipelines, recruitment records and stakeholder communications.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, professional judgement and relationship-building capability.
- High-level organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing recruitment priorities.
- Competence using applicant tracking systems, recruitment platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable qualifications and experience

- A bachelor degree or postgraduate qualification in psychology, organisational psychology or a related behavioral science discipline.
- Experience recruiting in healthcare, allied health, community services or another regulated sector.
- Experience recruiting in the transport, airline, aviation, logistics or related industries.
- Experience in 360-degree recruitment, talent mapping, market research or executive search.
- Knowledge of Australian recruitment practices, employment conditions and pre-employment compliance processes.
- Additional language capability relevant to diverse candidate communities.
