Registered Nurse – Overnight and Afternoon Shifts | One-on-One Community Nursing | Cairns

Make a genuine difference every shift. Nurse Next Door Cairns is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our growing clinical team, providing one-on-one nursing support for a participant living in his own home.

This is a unique opportunity to step away from busy ward environments and provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a calm home setting. You'll have the time to build rapport, deliver holistic care, and focus on one participant while being supported by an experienced clinical leadership team.

Whether you have a background in community nursing, acute care, emergency, intensive care or another clinical setting, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

- One-on-one nursing support in the participant's home
- Above-award pay rates plus applicable penalty rates
- Comprehensive paid orientation and competency-based training
- Ongoing clinical support from experienced Nurse Coordinators and our Director of Clinical Operations
- Opportunity to expand your skills in complex community nursing while working in a supportive environment

About you

You are a Registered Nurse who enjoys working independently while delivering compassionate, high-quality care. You are calm, reliable and committed to providing safe, respectful and person-centred support.

You will have

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse




- Overnight and afternoon availability
- Robust communication and clinical assessment skills
- A compassionate and professional approach to care
- The ability to work autonomously while knowing support is always available when required
- Current CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian driver's licence

Previous experience in disability, community or complex care is welcomed but not essential. We provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing clinical support to help you succeed in the role.
