Position: Casual Position
Rate: Paid per the Nurses Award dependent on level of experience.
Experience: Experience in GP is preferable, but on job training will be provided for the right candidate.
Temporary Residence/ Permanent Residence sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
Essential Criteria
- Must have a current unconditional registration with APHRA
- Current immunisations certificate (or willing to complete training)
- CPR certificate
- Current working with children’s check (WWC)
- Positive work ethic, organizational and time management skills
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to work in a face paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Patient liaison and answering phones when required
- Triage of patients
- Chronic disease management plans and health assessments
- Operation of the recall and reminder system
- Stock control and ordering
- Cold chain management
- Testing procedures – ECG and Spirometry
- IV procedures – iron Infusions and venesections
- Wound management
- Immunisations including childhood
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Maintenance of practice equipment
- Support to general practitioners and other staff as required
