ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join mecwacare’s Home Nursing and Care Services team as an experienced Community Registered Nurse across the Ballarat areaand make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients receiving care at home. In this casual role, you will deliver compassionate, holistic and evidence-based nursing that helps reduce hospital stays, supports recovery and improves long-term health outcomes.
You will work with clients of all ages, including post-acute care (PAC) and hospital in the home (HITH) patients, providing services such as wound care, IDC and stoma care, personal care, medication administration and supervision, blood glucose monitoring, and compression stocking application.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Grade 2 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated community nursing and/or acute nursing experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ community nursing experience.
- Strong initiative, sound clinical judgement and confident decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a registered vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
