What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse within Mental Health Services, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while building therapeutic partnerships with consumers, families and carers. You’ll work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team to support recovery, promote wellbeing and achieve positive health outcomes.





- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.

- Build therapeutic relationships that support recovery, safety, engagement and informed clinical decision-making.

- Deliver person-centred care across the mental health spectrum, including health promotion and consumer empowerment.

- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment, monitor progress and respond to changing clinical needs.

- Maintain contemporary clinical practice through professional development, supervision, clinical review and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Registered Nurse who has completed a new graduate RN program or experience working as a Registered Nurse

2.



Demonstrated experience working with people presenting with an acute mental health problem

3. Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision

4. Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems

5. Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007

6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental health care
7. An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice

8. Current NSW drivers licence
