About The Role

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), established in 1882, is one of Australia’s most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national, and international communities. This is a multi-skilled nursing role principally involving clinical testing of Neuroscience patients in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting, working within the Neuroscience Ambulatory Care Unit. Clinical practice will include the recording of EEGs in various clinical locations, monitoring long term Video EEG Telemetry, tests required to diagnose disorders associated with Hearing and Balance, Autonomic Function Studies, Evoked Potentials, the administration of intravenous injections and working within the IV Infusion Clinic or any other testing which may become available as part of the diagnostic procedure within the Neurosciences Ambulatory Care Unit.

Additionally,



other testing associated with Neurosciences including contributing to the operational management of the ENT and Ophthalmology clinics as required by the Nursing Unit Manager. Joining an on-call roster when proficient in Neurophysiology testing and working after-hours as required would be essential.

Ideal Candidate

- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work a Monday to Friday roster, from 8:30 to 16.30.
