​ About the Larrakeyah Health Centre

Larrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City.

Larrakeyah Defence

Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training. It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft. The facility has a routine dependency of 1100 personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services.



Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).

What you’ll do

- Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting

- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals

- Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care

What you bring

- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

- Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting

- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)

- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)

- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care

- Ability to work a 24/7 roster

- This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. LEAVE THIS IF ROLE IS OPD ONLY
