Laneway is recruiting on behalf of our client, a Federal Government agency, for an experienced technical delivery professional to support the delivery of complex ICT and digital solutions.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity , with the successful candidate able to be based in Melbourne or Sydney .
The role will work across an Agile Release Train (ART), supporting delivery planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and the coordination of technical outcomes across multiple squads.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in Scaled Agile environments, technical ICT delivery and project management, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders to drive successful delivery outcomes.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include
- Facilitating Scaled Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, PI Retrospectives and ART-level activities
- Working with the Delivery Director to define ART scope, requirements and acceptance criteria
- Working closely with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to manage and prioritise the Release Train backlog
- Developing and maintaining ART-level roadmaps and delivery schedules using JIRA or similar tools
- Supporting alignment of product backlogs and delivery activities across multiple squads
- Working collaboratively with Project Managers to identify, manage and escalate risks and issues
- Maintaining appropriate project and delivery logs
- Supporting release planning and release activities
- Coordinating the delivery of technical components across complex ICT solutions
- Supporting delivery across areas including system architecture, cloud, cyber security and other technology components
- Working closely with Scrum Masters to remove blockers and improve delivery outcomes
- Mentoring and coaching teams in Agile and Scaled Agile ways of working
- Championing continuous improvement and the rollout of improved team and delivery processes
- Establishing a positive and collaborative team environment
- Supporting delivery governance and ensuring appropriate processes are followed
About You
You’ll ideally have
- 8–10 years’ experience establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projects
- Strong experience delivering digital and cloud-based solutions
- Proven experience working within Scaled Agile / Protected environments
- Strong knowledge of project management and governance frameworks
- Experience working across Federal or State Government environments
- Demonstrated experience facilitating program-level and cross-squad Agile ceremonies
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with Product Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters and technical delivery teams
- Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and delivery priorities
- Strong leadership, mentoring and coaching capability
- A demonstrated commitment to developing team capability and fostering a positive team culture
Technical & Delivery Environment Experience across the following will be highly regarded:
- Cloud-based ICT solutions
- System architecture and technical delivery
- Cyber security and security considerations
- Salesforce
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Agile delivery tools and methodologies
Qualifications The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- An industry-recognised project management qualification, such as a Diploma of Project Management
- SAFe Agile certification or equivalent Agile delivery experience
Desirable
- Experience delivering Salesforce-based solutions
- Understanding of accessibility principles and accessible design and development
- Advanced experience with Atlassian tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence
