Join Our Team as Retail Customer Service – Townsville The School Locker is one of Australia's largest education retailers and suppliers. With over 110 School, University, and Super Store locations across Australia, we are committed to unlocking the potential of students by providing everything they need for their educational journey.

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable and customer focused retail assistant to join our School Locker Townsville Team with a special focus on musical instruments and accessories. This role blends excellent retail service skills with specialist knowledge of school muisc needs helping students, parents and staff select their correct instruments for their requirements. Initially a part time role with the opportunity for the right candidate to be full time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional customer service and communication
- Operate POS and manage inventory systems with accuracy
- Process sales and stock movement diligently through computer-based systems
- Pick and pack customer online orders daily
- Maintain store merchandising standards and execute sales strategies
- Adhere to directions from the support office and meet set goals




- Keep detailed records and perform administration tasks as needed
- Work both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach to work
- Manage time effectively and handle pressure to meet deadlines

What We’re Looking For:

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and excellent time management
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience in retail customer service or a similar environment
- Enthusiastic attitude and proactive approach to tasks
- Basic knowledge of music or musical instruments is highly desirable, as our store offers a range of instruments and accessories

Requirements:

- A valid Working with Children Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Australian residency or working rights
