About the role

We are seeking a Retail Manager (General) to join our team at Surfers Pizza Kebab in Surfers Paradise, QLD 4217. This is a full-time position that will be fundamental in driving the success of our retail operations.

As Retail

Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day store management, including staff supervision, inventory control, customer service excellence, and financial performance. You will play a key role in ensuring our store operates efficiently whilst maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Manage and supervise staff members, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
- Monitor and control inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering procedures to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health and hygiene regulations and company policies
- Maintain financial accountability, including cash handling, point-of-sale systems and reconciliation
- Drive sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction
- Maintain excellent customer service standards and handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally
- Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate records
- Liaise with suppliers and manage vendor relationships




- Implement and maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness standards

What we're looking for

- Proven retail management experience, ideally within a food retail or hospitality environment
- Solid leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Sound understanding of financial management and profit and loss principles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and health and hygiene compliance
- Customer service excellence and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional experiences
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management software
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Preferred 1 year of experience in pizza, kebab, or similar food service retail
