The Company

Our client is a leading logistics organisation with a strong presence across Australia. Operating a large-scale distribution and warehousing network, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety while fostering a positive and proactive safety culture.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Manager to join the team on an initial six-month assignment.

The Role

As Safety Manager, you will take ownership of all health, safety and wellbeing activities for a major logistics site. You will partner closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to drive continuous improvement, support compliance, and embed a solid safety-first culture across the facility.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced safety professional who is confident working in a fast-paced operational environment and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Duties:

- Lead all health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
- Provide expert advice and support to leaders, supervisors and employees on WHS matters.
- Drive continuous improvement of safety systems, policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Manage contractor safety and ensure compliance with site requirements.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and coaching to leaders and employees.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and industry best practice.




- Promote and maintain a positive, engaged and proactive safety culture.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in a Safety Manager, HSE Manager or Senior Safety Advisor role.
- Experience within logistics, warehousing, transport, manufacturing or other operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and safety management systems.
- Proven experience leading safety programs and driving cultural change.
- Strong incident investigation, risk management and hazard identification capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence, coach and support leaders at all levels of the organisation.
- Relevant qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training highly regarded.
