Reporting to: CEO and Group General Manager
Role Overview
Fusion Australia Current Zealand is seeking a high-caliber Sales Manager to lead our dedicated account service team. Based in our Melbourne head office, you will be the driving force behind our relationships with some of the most prominent retail brands in the FMCG/ Athleisure and Fashion sectors. This is a rare opportunity for a strategic leader to step into a pivotal role with a clear pathway for global career advancement within our international network.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Strategic Major Account Management
Lead and oversee the service delivery for our key group of major retail clients. You will be the primary point of contact for high-level account strategy, ensuring our service offerings consistently align with the complex, fast-paced needs of the FMCG & the Retail Athleisure and fashion space landscape.
2. Financial Stewardship: Budgeting & Forecasting
Take full ownership of the sales department’s financial health. You will be responsible for developing accurate sales forecasts, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring all fiscal targets are met or exceeded through diligent planning and resource allocation.
3. Operational Reporting & Performance Analytics
Drive accountability through rigorous weekly reporting. You will track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze market trends,
and provide the CEO and Group General Manager with actionable insights that inform high-level business decisions and operational improvements, combining, new business development and connectivity with our clients new and old.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
Directly manage and mentor a team of sales account professionals. You are responsible for the day-to-day operational success of the team, including setting performance benchmarks, conducting regular reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence, development, and high achievement.
5. Client Network Engagement
Actively work within our expansive client network to build and maintain robust, long-term partnerships. You will act as a bridge between your internal sales team and our external retail partners, ensuring seamless communication and the successful execution of group-wide initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior sales management role within the FMCG or major retail sector.
Strong financial acumen, including budget management and forecasting proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience dealing with major corporate clients.
A strategic mindset with a desire for long-term career growth in a global environment.
Experienced with a minimum of 5 years in the industry advertising and marketing retail arenas
