SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant

Location: Melbourne, Victoria

Contract: Initial six months with potential 12-month extension

Proposed start: 15 September 2026

Engagement: Full-time contract

Position overview

Really Awesome People is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management Consultant to support a major warehouse and supply-chain environment in Melbourne.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring and implementing SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions that optimise warehouse operations, inventory management and broader supply-chain performance.

Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the consultant will gather requirements, facilitate workshops and translate operational needs into practical SAP EWM solutions. The role will support the complete delivery lifecycle, including solution design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, training and ongoing user support.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Design, configure and implement SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management solutions.
- Analyse existing warehouse, inventory and supply-chain processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Gather and document functional, business and operational requirements.
- Plan and facilitate requirements-gathering and solution-design workshops.
- Translate operational requirements into fit-for-purpose SAP EWM functional designs.
- Configure SAP EWM functionality to support warehouse and supply-chain requirements.
- Develop functional specifications and supporting solution documentation.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend appropriate SAP solutions or process improvements.
- Work with business,



technical and integration teams to embed EWM within the broader SAP S/4HANA landscape.
- Support integration between EWM and relevant supply-chain, logistics, inventory and enterprise systems.
- Prepare test scenarios, test scripts and supporting test documentation.
- Participate in system, integration, regression and user-acceptance testing.
- Investigate functional issues, identify root causes and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Support deployment, cutover, go-live and post-implementation activities.
- Develop user guidance and contribute to training and knowledge-transfer activities.
- Provide functional support to business users and project stakeholders.
- Promote effective solution adoption and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, issues and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.

Mandatory requirements

- Extensive experience designing, configuring and implementing SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions.
- Demonstrated end-to-end SAP EWM implementation and delivery experience.
- Advanced functional knowledge of Extended Warehouse Management processes and capabilities.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics and supply-chain processes.




- Proven ability to gather business requirements and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
- Experience translating operational requirements into SAP EWM solution designs.
- Experience integrating EWM within a broader SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Demonstrated experience across functional design, configuration, testing, deployment and user support.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business-analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a complex delivery workplace.

Desirable experience

- Experience supporting large distribution centres, logistics operations or high-volume warehouse environments.
- Experience delivering EWM solutions within consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution or beverage organisations.
- Knowledge of SAP Transportation Management and its integration with EWM.
- Experience with warehouse automation, material-flow systems or related logistics technologies.
- Experience supporting cutover, go-live and post-production stabilisation.
- Relevant SAP S/4HANA or EWM certification.

Candidate attributes The successful consultant will be practical, delivery-focused and comfortable working directly with business stakeholders. They will be able to understand operational challenges, develop appropriate SAP solutions and support those solutions through implementation and adoption.

The consultant must be based in Melbourne and available to commence around 15 September 2026.
