Role Description This part time remote role combines Scrum Master and Release Manager responsibilities to support distributed teams and projects.

The Scrum

Master / Release Manager will facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that Agile principles are applied effectively. The role includes coordinating the creation and refinement of user stories, managing release plans, and aligning delivery timelines with stakeholders. The qualified will collaborate closely with software development teams to remove impediments, monitor progress, track metrics, and promote continuous improvement. Additional responsibilities include communicating release status, managing dependencies, and fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

- Agile facilitation skills, including experience with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ability to work with user stories, backlogs,



and prioritization to guide teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for tracking progress, identifying risks, and improving processes.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate remote teams, manage expectations, and report on releases.
- Understanding of software development practices and release management in Agile environments.
- Experience as a Scrum Master, Release Manager, or similar Agile role; Scrum or Agile certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar) and basic reporting dashboards.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate across cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
