Role Description The Security Technician is a full time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms, and related hardware and software. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections and testing of equipment, troubleshooting faults, completing service reports, and coordinating with clients to ensure systems meet security requirements and regulatory standards.

The Security

Technician will also assist in site assessments, support investigations with technical data when required, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain reliable, secure operations.





Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems (e.g. CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm panels).
- Working knowledge of basic networking concepts and low-voltage electrical systems relevant to security equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting and fault resolution.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, documenting work, and collaborating with team members.
- Capability to work safely on-site, including adherence to occupational health and safety procedures and use of appropriate protective equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between client sites within the Sydney, NSW area as required.
- Relevant trade qualification, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience in security, electronics, or a related field.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet company and client security clearance requirements.
- Previous experience in the security or investigations industry is highly regarded.
