Senior Accountant – Business Services & Tax | Mid-Tier Accounting Practice

Salary - Up to $150,000k

Aston & Stone is partnering with a well-respected mid-tier accounting practice in Perth to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Business Services and Tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public practice Accountant looking to join an established firm with a strong reputation, quality client base and genuine opportunity for continued career development.

You will work across a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a broad range of accounting, taxation and business services while developing strong client relationships and providing valuable commercial support.

The Role

Working closely with Managers and Partners, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation and review of financial statements for companies, trusts and other entities
- Preparation of income tax returns across a range of entity structures
- Preparation and review of BAS and other statutory compliance requirements
- Managing Australian tax and business services matters for a portfolio of clients
- Providing advice across general taxation, GST and compliance matters
- Preparing and reviewing reconciliations and supporting workpapers
- Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is delivered accurately and efficiently
- Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and advisory support to clients
- Assisting with tax planning and year-end matters
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on more complex client assignments
- Supporting and assisting junior members of the accounting team where required

About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:





- 5+ years’ Australian tax and business services experience within an accounting practice
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Strong experience working with companies and trusts
- Experience across tax compliance, BAS and GST
- The confidence to communicate directly with clients
- Strong technical accounting and taxation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A professional and commercially minded approach to client service

CA or CPA qualification, or progression towards qualification, will be highly regarded. Why Join?
