Our client is a well-established boutique Chartered Accounting practice, providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients and individuals.

The Opportunity An experienced Senior Accountant – Business Services is sought to take responsibility for a portfolio of clients and provide a comprehensive range of accounting, taxation and business services.
This is a role where you can become a trusted adviser to your clients, rather than simply preparing accounts and tax returns.
You’ll enjoy:
- Managing your own portfolio of SME and individual clients
- Preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS
- Providing practical accounting and taxation advice
- Preparing and managing client budgets
- Working directly with clients and developing genuine relationships
- Having autonomy over your workload while being supported by an experienced team
- Working collaboratively in a friendly, respectful and professional environment
About You
You will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting
- CA, CPA or IPA qualification, or be working towards one — beneficial but not essential
- Robust experience preparing financial statements, tax returns and BAS
- Experience working with a range of business structures, including self-managed-superfunds and individual clients
- Experience with Xero, XPM,
FYI and BGL360 advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A proactive and professional approach
- High levels of integrity and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
