Senior BIM Designer | Mechanical (Melbourne)
Inspire a better world through influence and design.
Ready to bring your BIM expertise to a team where the quality of the model is taken as seriously as the quality of the engineering behind it?
We are growing our Building Services team and looking for an experienced Senior BIM Designer to join our Mechanical team in Melbourne. You will bring 5 or more years of BIM experience in building services and you are already operating at a senior level, with a track record of producing high-quality models, managing federated models and shaping the BIM environment around you, not just working within it.
Please note: Applicants must reside in Australia and hold full Australian working rights, as this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Who We Are
Founded in 2011 in Australia, ADP Consulting is a trusted, sustainability-led engineering consultancy with an international footprint that is renowned for finding the best technical and sustainable solutions to the most complex projects, wherever these may be.
ADP Consulting is committed to inspiring a better world through influence and design, collaborating with industry leaders who are equally as passionate about innovation, design excellence and, importantly, our impact on the planet.
ADP Consulting has now joined forces with Ayesa, one of the world's largest technology and engineering companies, in a move that facilitates new pathways and accelerates our growth.
What is your role?
You will be the senior BIM presence within the Melbourne Mechanical team, producing and managing detailed Revit models across a diverse portfolio of projects and sectors. Working closely with mechanical engineers and project leads, you will translate engineering intent into accurate, coordinated models that support design development and construction documentation.
Beyond modelling, you will take ownership of BIM standards, templates and workflows within the team, manage federated models and lead clash detection processes to keep multidisciplinary coordination on track.
This is a role where your experience is visible in the quality of the model and the smoothness of the coordination process across every project you touch.
Why BIM Designers Are Choosing ADP Right Now
- A firm that takes BIM seriously as a core part of project delivery, not an afterthought or a downstream task.
- A diverse project portfolio across all sectors, giving you breadth of modelling experience and exposure to complex, high-quality built environment projects.
- A true multidisciplinary environment where your mechanical models sit alongside electrical, hydraulic, fire and civil, with real coordination happening across disciplines.
- Ownership of BIM standards and workflows within the team, with the scope to shape how modelling is done at ADP in Melbourne rather than simply inherit someone else's approach.
About You
- You are a confident and experienced BIM Designer who takes pride in the quality of the models you produce and the coordination environments you help create.
You understand how mechanical systems work, not just how to draw them, and that understanding shows in the accuracy and buildability of your output. You are ready for a role where your experience is recognised and your input shapes how BIM is done across the team.
- You have 5 or more years of BIM and Revit experience within building services consulting, with a strong focus on mechanical services.
- You are highly proficient in Revit MEP and confident producing detailed, accurate mechanical models across all project stages from design development through to construction documentation.
- You have experience managing federated models and leading clash detection processes,
and you understand how to keep multidisciplinary coordination moving efficiently.
- You have contributed to or taken ownership of BIM standards, templates and workflows, and you can improve them rather than simply maintain them.
- You work closely and effectively with engineers and project leads, translating their design intent into models that are accurate, coordinated and construction-ready.
- A solid understanding of mechanical building services is essential. Knowledge of Navisworks, BIM 360 or other coordination and project collaboration platforms is advantageous.
