The Opportunity

This is a highly visible, commercially charged role for a finance professional who wants more than the numbers — someone genuinely curious about what happens on the warehouse floor, in the yard, and on the road, and how that translates into performance on the P&L.;

You'll partner directly with operational leaders across four distinct divisions, shaping the KPIs, forecasts and insights that drive real decisions. And because we're reliable about modernising, you'll also have real scope to bring AI and automation into the finance function — stripping out the repetitive, manual month-end grind so your team can spend its time on insight, not admin.

What You'll Be Doing

- Driving the numbers that matter — leading monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting across multiple business units, with commentary that actually informs decisions.
- Getting close to the business — building weekly operational KPIs tailored to what each stakeholder actually needs, and digging into trends, variances and profitability to find the story behind the data.
- Championing smarter ways of working — identifying where AI,



automation and digital tools can take the busywork off your team's plate,and helping modernise reporting as they transition capability from Power BI toward alternative Software.
- Partnering, not just reporting — working shoulder-to-shoulder with operational leaders on business cases, improvement initiatives and cash flow and working capital analysis.

What You'll Bring

- CA / CPA / CIMA qualification, with solid experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- A natural commercial instinct and genuine enthusiasm for business partnering.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills, with curiosity (or better yet, experience) around modern data platforms like Snowflake.
- A real interest in AI, automation and process improvement — you see the mundane and immediately think "how can this be smarter?"
- Exposure to logistics, transport, supply chain, manufacturing or another operationally intensive industry — highly regarded, not essential.
- Sharp analytical instincts, excellent stakeholder skills, and the energy to work across multiple business units in a fast-moving environment.
