Play a pivotal role in delivering financial insight, commercial advice and strategic decision support across ART Life. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll influence decision-making, lead forecasting and planning activities, and help translate business strategy into meaningful financial outcomes. As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll support the Financial Controller, ART Life, delivering financial insight, business partnering, financial planning, management reporting and strategic decision support across the business.
You'll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, providing commercial challenge, financial expertise and recommendations that help balance commercial, risk and member outcomes.
You'll work closely with leaders across ART Life, helping shape strategic initiatives, guide investment decisions and improve business performance through data-driven insights. This role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders while contributing to a high-performing finance function.
This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business case development to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the ART Life Leadership Team to identify financial outcomes, risks and opportunities associated with strategic initiatives.
- Provide commercial insight, challenge and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Lead forecasting, budget planning, long-term financial modelling and scenario analysis activities.
- Prepare executive,
committee and board reporting, delivering meaningful analysis and insights.
- Support strategic initiatives, transformation programs and investment opportunities through financial leadership and advice.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across ART Life and the broader organisation to drive collaboration and business value.
- Coach, mentor and support capability development within the Finance team.
Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a excellent communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold a professional accounting qualification such as CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent.
- Your experience includes finance business partnering or commercial finance roles.
- You'll bring strong commercial acumen and experience providing strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders.
- You're highly skilled in budgeting, forecasting, business case development and financial modelling.
- You can translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
- Your stakeholder management skills enable you to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes.
- You'll have experience preparing reports and presentations for executive, board or committee audiences.
- You're able to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
- You may also bring experience within life insurance, superannuation or financial services.
