We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site organisation seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on position offering exposure across the full finance function while providing support and leadership to a small team.

Description

- Ownership of month-end close activities including journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet
- Preparing quarterly reporting packs and supporting group reporting obligations
- Managing statutory compliance including BAS, FBT, tax and audit requirements
- Coordinating external audits and year-end reporting processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support business performance




- Driving process improvement initiatives and strengthening internal controls
- Supporting and mentoring a small finance team
- Building strong relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders across the business

Profile

- CA or CPA qualification
- 5+ years' experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant, Group Accountant or similar role
- Strong financial reporting and month-end accounting experience
- Experience with audit, tax and statutory compliance requirements
- Excellent reconciliation and balance sheet management skills
- Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
- Experience working within multi-entity or complex business environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both finance and operational stakeholders
- Previous team leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience is desirable
