About the Opportunity
An excellent opportunity for an experienced workplace investigations and employee relations leader to step into a senior contract position within a large and complex organisation. This role provides exposure to senior leadership while leading a specialist complaints and investigations team responsible for managing sensitive workplace matters.
The Role
As the Senior Manager, Workplace Behaviour & Conduct, you will lead a team responsible for managing complex workplace behaviour, misconduct, and staff complaint matters. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic guidance on employee conduct, investigations, compliance, risk management, and workplace relations.
Key Details
- Position: Senior Manager, Workplace Behaviour & Conduct
- Contract: 6-month contract with immediate start
- Remuneration: $111.24 per hour + superannuation
- Location: Metropolitan location with hybrid working arrangements
- Hybrid mode: Approximately 1 day per week in the office
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Potential: Opportunity for ongoing or permanent employment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee workplace behaviour, misconduct, and employee complaint matters.
- Manage complex investigations and complaint resolution processes.
- Provide strategic advice on legal, operational, and employee relations risks.
- Ensure procedural fairness, compliance, and best-practice investigation standards are maintained.
- Drive continuous improvement across complaints handling frameworks, policies, governance, and reporting.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing investigations and complaints team.
- Act as the escalation point for complex, sensitive, and high-risk workplace matters.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead a team of four direct reports within the workplace complaints and investigations function.
- Partner closely with senior leaders and executives across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice on workplace conduct, investigations, compliance obligations, and organisational risk.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Significant experience conducting and overseeing workplace investigations and complaints.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, workplace conduct, compliance, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and influence senior decision-makers.
- Experience working within large, policy-driven, or highly regulated environments such as higher education, government, healthcare, professional services, or similar sectors.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing specialist teams.
