Job Summary

Join a market-leading client-side Project Management consultancy specialising in major residential developments across Sydney. This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex new-build apartment projects, including Build to Rent, Build to Sell and mixed-use developments, while joining a high-performing team with an excellent reputation and strong pipeline of work.

About the Business

Our client is an established Project Management consultancy based in North Sydney, with a team of approximately 22 people and an excellent reputation across the Sydney property and construction market. The business has particular expertise within the residential sector, working across new-build apartment developments, Build to Rent, Build to Sell, mixed-use and retirement living projects.

Their experience extends to significant developments of up to approximately 30 storeys, alongside government, refurbishment, remedial and D&C; projects.

Rather than operating as a large corporate consultancy, they've built a close-knit team of high-performing Project Managers who take genuine ownership of their projects and client relationships.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of residential projects, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the North Sydney team. You'll take a leading role in the delivery of major residential developments, particularly new-build apartment projects across the Build to Rent and Build to Sell sectors.

You'll work closely with developers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, taking responsibility for project strategy, design, procurement and construction through to completion.





This is a genuinely client-facing position. Technical Project Management capability is important, but so is your ability to communicate effectively, understand different personalities, read the room and build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading client-side delivery of major residential developments from early planning through to completion
- Managing new-build apartment, Build to Rent and Build to Sell projects
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout project delivery
- Leading consultant teams across design development and coordination
- Managing procurement, tendering and contractor engagement
- Overseeing project programmes, budgets, risk and reporting
- Chairing client, consultant and contractor meetings
- Managing contractual and commercial matters throughout delivery
- Working closely with contractors during the construction phase
- Identifying project risks early and driving practical solutions
- Maintaining strong relationships across clients, consultants and contractors
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the Project Management team

About You

We're looking for an established Project Manager who combines robust technical capability with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

You'll ideally have

- Proven experience within a client-side Project Management consultancy
- Strong experience delivering new-build residential apartment developments
- Exposure to Build to Rent, Build to Sell or significant mixed-use residential projects
- Experience managing projects through design, procurement and construction




- Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management capability
- Confidence leading consultant and contractor teams
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail

Previous construction-side or site-based experience would also be highly regarded, particularly where this has provided a strong understanding of how projects are practically delivered.
