Quality Engineer – UKG & Playwright Automation

Six-Month Rolling Contract | Australia | CloudMarc

CloudMarc is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with hands-on UKG testing and Playwright automation experience to support a major workforce-management program.

Applicants must currently be based in Australia.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Testing UKG workforce-management functionality and integrations.
- Building and maintaining UI automation using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Developing automated tests across web, API and integration layers.
- Performing functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
- Validating UKG workflows including timekeeping, scheduling, leave and payroll integrations.
- Developing and executing API tests.
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigating defects and working closely with developers and delivery teams.
- Supporting test planning, estimation, reporting and release readiness.
- Creating reusable test scripts, test data and automation components.
- Using UiPath for automated workflows or testing activities where required.

Mandatory Experience

- Commercial testing experience with UKG or Kronos.
- Hands-on Playwright automation using TypeScript.




- Robust API and integration-testing experience.
- Experience developing or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with UiPath.
- Functional, regression and end-to-end testing experience.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Strong defect investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams.
- Australian work rights and current Australian residency.

Desirable Experience

- UKG Pro WFM or UKG Dimensions.
- Workforce management, payroll or HRIS programs.
- Postman, REST Assured or similar API-testing tools.
- Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- SQL and database validation.
- Test leadership or mentoring experience.
