Senior Quality Engineer – Automation/Performance

12-Month Contract | Melbourne | CloudMarc

CloudMarc is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a major enterprise program.

This is primarily a hands-on automation role, with some exposure to performance testing. We’re looking for someone robust in modern test automation who can work across Playwright, APIs, CI/CD and Azure, with working knowledge of JMeter and LoadRunner.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

- Building and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts, particularly using Playwright.
- Developing automated tests across web, API and integration layers.
- Creating and maintaining test cases, test scripts and test data.
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Working with Azure Virtual Machines / VM Scale Sets for distributed automated test execution.
- Performing hands-on functional and manual testing where required.
- Working within Agile delivery teams and participating in ceremonies.
- Analysing test results, identifying issues and producing clear test reporting.
- Supporting performance testing activities including workload modelling and test execution.
- Using or working alongside performance tools including JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Maintaining automation,



functional and performance testing artefacts.

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

- Strong commercial test automation / Quality Engineering experience.
- Hands-on Playwright experience.
- Strong API and integration testing experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Experience working with Azure environments.
- Experience with Agile engineering teams.
- Ability to work across both automated and manual testing.
- Exposure to JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Some understanding of performance testing, workload modelling and performance analysis.

You do not need to be a dedicated Performance Engineer. We are primarily looking for a strong automation engineer who has worked with performance testing tools.
