Senior Disability Support Worker – Complex Support | Full-Time

A specialised role for an experienced Support Worker

All Community Care is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in a full-time capacity supporting a young participant with complex support needs.

This is not a general support worker position. The role requires a calm, confident and experienced worker who is comfortable providing consistent one-to-one support, building trust over time and working within an established Behaviour Support Plan and support framework.

The successful applicant will be someone who can remain composed in challenging situations, recognise changes in behaviour and presentation, and provide consistent support without becoming reactive.

About the role

You will provide direct one-to-one support across home and community environments, with a focus on:

- Implementing and following Behaviour Support Plans and established support strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and recognising behavioural triggers
- Developing and maintaining a strong, trusting relationship with the participant
- Supporting daily living skills and increasing independence
- Supporting community participation and engagement
- Assisting with medication in accordance with relevant procedures and training
- Following manual handling and other participant-specific support requirements
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with family, management and allied health professionals
- Providing consistent support and detailed handover/documentation
- Working collaboratively with the participant's broader support team





What we are looking for This position is suited to a mature and experienced Disability Support Worker who has demonstrated experience supporting people with complex needs.

You will ideally have

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex behaviours and/or high support needs
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans
- Experience supporting emotional regulation and identifying behavioural triggers
- Medication competency or relevant medication experience
- Manual handling experience
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently while following participant-specific support strategies
- A reliable and consistent approach to attendance and documentation

The person we are looking for Qualifications are important, but experience, judgement and personality are equally important in this role.

Employment

Full-Time | Permanent The position will be approximately 38 hours per week, with the exact roster discussed during the recruitment process.

Wages and employment conditions will be discussed based on experience and in accordance with the applicable award and employment requirements.
